Easy Homemade Taco Seasoning
Forget buying any taco seasoning packet and start making your own! It's so simple and you probably already have the ingredients in your spice cupboard. I love to premake this seasoning and keep it on hand in my pantry. There are a million different ways to use this seasoning add it to rice, beans, lentils, sour cream, soups, chicken, fish, steak, or shrimp! My favorite way to use this seasoning is too of course make tacos. I add it to your taco meat of choice, add 1/2 cup water, 2 tbsp tomato paste, and voila!

Ingredients
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1/4 tsp ground cayenne red pepper or red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Add in a glass container or jar chili powder, cumin, garlic, paprika, oregano, onion, cayenne red pepper and salt & pepper. Shake to mix well.
Notes
My favorite way to use this seasoning is to make tacos! You just add it to your taco meat of choice (seasoned to your preference), add 1/2 cup water, 2 tbsp tomato paste, and voila!
